Case Study: Poor Treatment of Plantar Warts.

This patient is a healthy young 24 year old male he noticed a small lesion on his foot. He went to a 24 hour clinic where it was correctly diagnosed as a Plantar wart. Treatment recommended was freezing with Liquid Nitrogen (LnO2).

The Patient had several sessions and endured quite an amount of pain finally the skin blistered to the size of approximately a 20 cent piece. This did cure the initial wart, however it caused a large blister wart virus float around in this fluid and typically re establish at the edge of the blister.

This is what happened in this case resulting in a large ring type blister far worse that the initial site. This required minor surgery to remove fortunately it is now totally resolved. Unfortunately it need not have been this way, consult a practitioner who is experienced with dealing with these type of problems.
